We strongly advise people to participate in this initiative because the
fact is that if there are no submissions from residents then this will be seen as a sign of agreement to the
proposed re-zoning.

The following is an extract from a Tralee Town Council notice which appeared in one of the local newspapers in May
2005.

NOTICE OF HAVING PREPARED A PROPOSED SECOND VARIATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE
TOWN OF TRALEE.

To change the Land use Zoning of c. 1.14ha of Land at Mounthawk, Tralee, from Leisure/Tourism Use to Housing
Medium Density use.

This proposed variation to the Tralee Town Development Plan 2003 - 2009 is being carried out by Tralee Town Council
at the request of the owners of the subject site.

Written Submissions or Observations with respect to the Proposed Variation made to the Planning Authority within the
said period will be taken into consideration before making of the Variation.

The 20th June 2005 is the deadline for Submission and Observations on this matter. Therefore we are asking any
residents or interested parties from all parts of our area to contact us with their submission on or before
June 15th 2005
(or send them to the Town Clerk) and we will ensure that these will be brought before the Planning Authority before any
decision is made. We are also suggesting that all elected Town Councillors be made aware of any submissions and
objections.
Address: Mr. Michael Scannell, Town Clerk, Tralee Town Council, Princes Street, Tralee.
